Back to work February 2, 2007

It’s been a month since my maternity leave ended. Well…. I should be thankful-I had over 3 months with him! And yet its not enough. Atleast I don’t have to worry so much considering that my inlaws are taking care of my baby. I think I’ll go crazy if I had no choice but to leave Isyraf with my newly hired indon maid… would probably consider resigning. Anyhow, I’m still getting used to leaving Isyraf early in the morning and seeing him only much later in the day. And I still miss him dearly every single day. Cairil offered to send Isyraf to my inlaws every morning so that I don’t have to leave home so early in the morning to make it to work on time. But me being me, I just cannot bear going off to work without making sure Isyraf is all settled at his grandma’s. So I wake up around 530-600 am now, depending on what time Isyraf wakes up, to pump milk, feed Isyraf, supervise my maid and get ready by 7am. We usually leave home around 7-730 – again depends on how hungry Isyraf is and how efficient my indon maid decides to be on that particular day ( I have a looooonnnnnggggg story to tell you about my dear indon maid – I’ll try to do that soon ). Moving on, we usually reach my inlaws around 745am and I’ll immediately feed Isyraf again whilst having a quick breakfast if time permits. By 815am, I’m already off to work. So far things have been pretty okay… though soon Isyraf would be able to understand the fact that he’s mummy leaves him behind 5 days a week. Hehehe THEN it would be very difficult. It would be nice to have him wanting me all the time… but that would make it even harder for me to leave for work. Then what? Hmmmm… how I wish I can just take a year’s leave to be with my baby. Here are some shots of the little rascle =)

It’s 10 p.m. and I’m still at work. *sigh* I should really bring comfortable casual clothes to change into whenever I work late. I think it would make a world of difference to my stress level if I don’t have to wear work suits during late nights like this. HmmMMMMmmm… I’ll try it the next time I work late. But that’s tomorrow! A Friday! Great. Will put a reminder in my PDA….

The following are the items which we have been served with for Hari Raya Aidil Adha
Breakfast – Lemang, serunding & beef rendang
Brunch – Nasi minyak, beef kurma, chicken masak merah and dalca
Lunch – Pulut, ketupat, kuah kacang, rendang (both beef & chicken)
Tea – Pizza
Dinner - Nasi minyak, beef kurma, chicken masak merah and dalca (again!)
Now, where’s my diet menu again? Gotta stick to it quickly or I’ll explode out of my clothes soon.
Help.

It’s Friday, 7:42 pm and I am still at work whilst my sick hubby is attending to himself at home. Sometimes I wonder why I let myself worry about deadlines, things-to-do at work, the piling workload, e-mails requesing for info, asking to do this & that and everythingelse which would only make my head ache.

I have been spending quite a bit on decorative stuff for my condo and I still am not satisfied with what I’ve done so far. Photos and picture frames are still yet to be hung – thanks to my habit of procrastinating, the wall decors not done up yet, our bedroom is still most of the time messy (despite my continuous resolutions to keep ‘em tidy at all times)… and many other things to be done. Hmmmm… how do you make time for everything? I simply cannot.

Another addition to my favourite tv programmes. And it coincides with Miss Matched! This calls for video recording again. My life’s never been arranged around tv programmes before but I think it’s nice to have something to look forward to every week… other than my daily excitements with my loving hubby
