I’ve tendered my resignation on 31 May 2007 and am now serving my 3 months notice before I move on to greener pastures.

After almost 6 years in a merchant bank, I feel that it is time to move on. I won’t deny it, my push factor is none other than Isyraf. He has now gotten used to my late nights and therefore, no more tantrums after 7pm. Though it is something good to others, it saddens me a lil that his attachment to me has lessen since I started work. I love every single minute spent with him and honestly, would want him to stay attached to me for as long as I can help it. And with my current job, the late nights and working on weekends (yes, we do that), it’s just impossible to stay close to Isyraf.

I pray that I can find the balance (between career and family) with my new employer. InsyaAllah.

It’s been a month since my maternity leave ended. Well…. I should be thankful-I had over 3 months with him! And yet its not enough. Atleast I don’t have to worry so much considering that my inlaws are taking care of my baby. I think I’ll go crazy if I had no choice but to leave Isyraf with my newly hired indon maid… would probably consider resigning. Anyhow, I’m still getting used to leaving Isyraf early in the morning and seeing him only much later in the day. And I still miss him dearly every single day. Cairil offered to send Isyraf to my inlaws every morning so that I don’t have to leave home so early in the morning to make it to work on time. But me being me, I just cannot bear going off to work without making sure Isyraf is all settled at his grandma’s. So I wake up around 530-600 am now, depending on what time Isyraf wakes up, to pump milk, feed Isyraf, supervise my maid and get ready by 7am. We usually leave home around 7-730 – again depends on how hungry Isyraf is and how efficient my indon maid decides to be on that particular day ( I have a looooonnnnnggggg story to tell you about my dear indon maid – I’ll try to do that soon ). Moving on, we usually reach my inlaws around 745am and I’ll immediately feed Isyraf again whilst having a quick breakfast if time permits. By 815am, I’m already off to work. So far things have been pretty okay… though soon Isyraf would be able to understand the fact that he’s mummy leaves him behind 5 days a week. Hehehe THEN it would be very difficult. It would be nice to have him wanting me all the time… but that would make it even harder for me to leave for work. Then what? Hmmmm… how I wish I can just take a year’s leave to be with my baby. Here are some shots of the little rascle =)
